We have just released Primstar-2-dev-111.
We have mainly completed the creation part of Primstar-2 by now.
Also there have been quite a few tests and reviews within the last 14 days.
So the new release should be stable (while still not yet feature complete)
Here is the list of the new basic shapes:
- Bricks (for fractional sculpting)
- Cones
- Rings
- Stars (for christmas)
- Steps
All shapes can be interactively modified with various parameters to give you
a huge range of starting points for your sculpting.
If you have purchased Primstar-2 then the new release is located in your Jass-inventory.

Versetzt Gehirn in Gang … dh 8, 16, 32 Der Grund dafür ist die "Sculpty LOD"-Einstellung automatisch ausgerichtet die Ecken der Sculpties LOD (was für Karten von 4096 Pixel oder weniger Kraft der zwei Senkungen) – Vielfaches von 2 sollte Potenz von 2 sein. Also, wenn Sie angeben, 10 U Gesichter, und erhalten Sie einen 5 Stern, ist es eigentlich geht zu 16 Gesichter werden in der letzten sculpty, mit 6 der ursprünglichen 10 Gesichter in doppelter Größe und 4 Single-Dasein Gesichter. So Textur wiederholt wird in diesen Fällen nicht funktionieren.
TIP: Stars are for more than Christmas! Try them with taper=0.0 and depth=1.0 – if you keep to a multiple of 2 for the U faces, you can use repeats on the texture in SL. As with making these “tree stars” manually from a cylinder in Primstar 1.0, you should rotate the “sculptie” uv layer by 90 degrees and use plane type in SL for better alpha sorting.

Ooops.. Puts brain in gear… multiple of 2 should be power of 2 – ie 8, 16, 32
The reason for that is the “Sculpty LOD” setting automatically aligns the vertices to the sculpties LOD (which for maps of 4096 pixels or less is power of two reductions). So if you specify 10 U faces, and get a 5 pointed star, it’s actually going to be 16 faces on the final sculpty, with 6 of the original 10 faces being double sized, and 4 being single faces. So texture repeats won’t work in those cases.
