just wanted to say that if wasn’t for Avastar, I wouldn’t be able to make this avatar (my first being sold on marketplace) and me grateful by the patience that the devs have with me being derpy and slow. I love the Avastar addon

Avastar is a must for any blender user rigging in Secondlife. I can’t imagine working without it, It is completely ingrained in every piece of clothing I make on the grid.

Creating an avatar for Second Life requires putting together the right skeleton, facing the right way, with the right bone names, with the right orientations and the right bone roll, the right dae settings in the right dae flavor. You could re-discover every pitfall and ‘gotcha’ there is, and figure out how to work with it or around it.
Or you could just get Avastar, and be ready to go.

I added the cape, the crown, the mane and the hoofcaps to the Flower Pony. This was only possible due to the awesome Avastar community that very patiently answers all the questions I and others have. I guess you can make things for SL without Avastar, but it makes a lot of things just way easier!

Well.. i am always using the newest blender, Avastar never failed.

Just wanted to say, fantastic job with the 2.8+ avastar.
I just updated the rig from an old B2.79/A2.5 project that had a lot of altered bones to the most recent avastar and the bones updated flawlessly

I have been using avastar for a long time, I did interesting projects but none like this minotaur … since the last updates my head has been flying through the clouds with the things that can be done, the people of the community and the developers, they are always there for one. Thank you ….

Even though I first knew nothing about rigging in Blender i learned using Avastar and do ALL of it in there now. I was till then doing it all in Xxxx and never knew a thing about Blender, but it was worth learning for sure… thank you!! and great software
