{"id":563,"date":"2015-10-13T15:02:54","date_gmt":"2015-10-13T15:02:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/avastar.online\/?page_id=563"},"modified":"2015-10-13T15:02:54","modified_gmt":"2015-10-13T15:02:54","slug":"armature-info","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/legacy\/help\/armature-info\/","title":{"rendered":"Armature Info"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Armature Info<\/h4>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">If you have projects made with older versions of Avastar then it is likely that the armature is no longer compatible with the newest Avastar release<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Note:<\/span><\/strong> The Armature Info Panel shows the version difference between your Armature (in the example <em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">My Rig<\/span><\/em> and the Avastar Version (<em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">1.1.20<\/span><\/em> in the example).<\/div>\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">\n<div id=\"attachment_21578\" style=\"width: 180px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.machinimatrix.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/armature_info1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21578\" class=\"wp-image-21578 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.machinimatrix.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/armature_info1.png\" alt=\"armature_info\" width=\"170\" height=\"155\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-21578\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">You can check if the Armature is outdated<em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">(1)<\/span><\/em> (in the Tool shelf).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">(1)<\/span><\/em> Some very old Blend files will not show an Armature version, because this feature has been added in Avastar-1.1. Because of that it may be possible that you do not see any Rig version info. However Avastar treats Rigs without version info also as outdated.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">\n<p>The Armature Info Panel contains following data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Armature name<\/li>\n<li>Avastar Version number<\/li>\n<li>Rig version Number (may be empty)<\/li>\n<li>Version Mismatch Info (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>List of assigned Custom Meshes<\/li>\n<li>Number of animated Bones<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.machinimatrix.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/armature_info.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22381\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.machinimatrix.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/armature_info.png\" alt=\"armature_info\" width=\"188\" height=\"253\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Whenever Avastar detects a Version Mismatch, then it offers an Update Button in the Avastar Tools Panel:<\/p>\n<h4>Inplace Armature Update<\/h4>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">Avastar can now do an in place update of old Armatures. For this purpose we have added a conversion tool. So if your Armature is indicated as outdated in the Armature Info panel, then the Update tool shows up in Object mode:<\/div>\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">\n<ul>\n<li>Select your old mesh or your old Armature.<\/li>\n<li>Then &#8211; in the Tool Shelf &#8211; look for <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em>Armature Info<\/em><\/span>.
