We support 2 export Modes (anim and BVH).<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Note:<\/span><\/strong> The Exporter is only available when you have selected an Avastar Armature as the active Object.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rhcol span6\">The <em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Animation Export<\/span><\/em> Panel is located in the Render Properties Section \u00a0(see navigation map by hovering the mouse over the zoomglass above). You need\u00a0to scroll down to the bottom of the section indicated.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>.anim Export<\/h2>\n<h4>Basic Settings<\/h4>\n<p>The Anim export creates data files in the same animation format that is also used by SL, OpenSim etc. One advantage of this export type is that it supports the animation of the Eye Bones. Priority 6 is like a master priority that &#8220;rules them all&#8221;. But it is not officially supported. Priority -1 probably means &#8220;ignore this joint&#8221;, but we could not find a description of what it really does.<\/p>\n<h3>Loop Settings<\/h3>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"rhcol span7\">\n<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Loop Animation<\/span><\/em> (checkmark): if checked, the animation will later run in an infinite loop. This is actually a name template. It contains a string plus optional variables, see below. Default value is $action (the exported file will be named like the action name.<\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Apply Armature Scale:<\/span><\/em> You need this option when you are working with scaled models in Blender. In that case normal animations might not work as expected on your scaled model when they are later played in SL. You will need to check this if you have enabled the option <em>anim bone trans<\/em> or <em>vol bone trans <\/em>in the <a href=\"https:\/\/avastar.online\/help\/posing\/\">Posing panel<\/a>. You will keep this unchecked when you want to ensure that your animation does not contain any translation.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Export Animation<\/span><em>: <\/em>Clicking this button will open a file selection box and after you have specified the name of the export file (pre-filled with the template from the name field), the data is exported to disk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rhcol span5\">\n<p>Allowed variable names in the action name string:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$action<\/span><\/strong> Name of current action (String)<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$avatar<\/span><\/strong> name of the Armature (String)<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$fps<\/span><\/strong> Frames per Second (number)<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$start<\/span><\/strong> Start frame (number)<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$end<\/span><\/strong> End frame (number)<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$prio<\/span><\/strong> Animation priority<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$easein<\/span><\/strong> Ease In (Seconds)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>$easeout<\/strong><\/span> Ease out (Seconds)<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$loopin<\/span><\/strong> Start of Loop (frame number)<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">$loopout<\/span><\/strong> End of Loop (frame number)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> <\/span>If you move the bones (not just rotate the bones, but also unlock the bones and add translation) then it&#8217;s easy to later break your avatar in SL in such a way that it could require to &#8216;Reset Skeleton &amp; Animations&#8217; in the SL Viewer. If nothing helps then you might need to logging out from SL and Relogin to fix such issues.<\/p>\n<h3>Trouble shooting<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If you have no keyframes defined, then the export button becomes red (see image) and exporting is disabled.<\/li>\n<li>If your animation contains keyframes for the Origin bone, then also the export is disabled because the Origin bone animation can not be transferred to Secondlife and the final animation would become distorted. You can fix that by deleting or muting the Origin bone animations.<\/li>\n<li>If your animation contains very subtle animations for the face parts for example, then the animation exporter sometimes smoothed out your animations and you see nothing when uploading to SL. You can inform the exporter to keep animations unchanged as follows:\n<ul>\n<li>open the timeline<\/li>\n<li>for each keyframe that you want to preserve add a timeline marker<\/li>\n<li>Name all preserving markers &#8220;fix&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>All so marked keyframes will be exported unchanged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>.bvh Export:<\/h2>\n<p>The BVH export is compliant to standard BVH, but it takes care about some conventions which are needed by the SL animation Importer. The in and Out locations need to be specified in %.<\/p>\n<p>We have added a loop % calculator. Just enter the <em>in frame<\/em> and the <em>Out frame<\/em>.
