In this case you must export your work in the Secondlife Restpose.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the white stickman icon to reset your pose to the SL Restpose (no worries, Avastar preserves your edited joints)<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you export the mesh with the male gender disabled (yes! that is important)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Image482.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2451\" src=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Image482.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<h3>Rig editing<\/h3>\n<div class=\"symple-toggle state-closed \"><h3 class=\"symple-toggle-trigger \">My Rig Jumps when i switch Mode<\/h3><div class=\"symple-toggle-container symple-clearfix\">\n<p>The Problem is that your (green) Animation bones and your (blue\/purple) Deform bones are not synchronized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The simple fix &#8211; Use Workflow presets:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select the Armature<\/li>\n<li>Open the settings panel<\/li>\n<li>Klick on the workflow preset &#8220;Joint Edit&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>now do your editing work on the Armature<\/li>\n<li>Finally go back to the settings panel<\/li>\n<li>and klick on the workflow preset &#8220;Skin&amp;Weight&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The expert fix &#8211; use Expert mode:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Settings panel<\/li>\n<li>Switch to Expert mode<\/li>\n<li>Select the Armature<\/li>\n<li>go to edit mode<\/li>\n<li>Edit your armature as needed<\/li>\n<li>Open the Posing panel<\/li>\n<li>Store Joint Edits (Take care of the synchronisation direction, the double arrow right to the button)<\/li>\n<li>if necessary adjust the settings in the operator panel (at the bottom of the tool shelf)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"symple-toggle state-closed \"><h3 class=\"symple-toggle-trigger \">Odd Rotation of the Rig in Pose mode<\/h3><div class=\"symple-toggle-container symple-clearfix\">\n<p>Sometimes an entire subset of the Rig rotates into an odd angle when switching from Edit mode to Pose mode.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">\n<div id=\"attachment_2496\" style=\"width: 708px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image487.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2496\" class=\"wp-image-2496 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image487.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"698\" height=\"573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image487.png 698w, https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image487-300x246.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 698px) 100vw, 698px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2496\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rig in Edit Mode<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">\n<div id=\"attachment_2497\" style=\"width: 708px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image488.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2497\" class=\"wp-image-2497 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image488.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"698\" height=\"573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image488.png 698w, https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image488-300x246.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 698px) 100vw, 698px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2497\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Same Rig in Pose Mode<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This may be cause by a bad editing of the Pelvis Bone.<\/p>\n<h4>Explanation<\/h4>\n<p>The Pelvis bone has a rotation constraint. If you want to use it as in your blend file then you must disable the rotation constraints:<\/p>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"rhcol span7\">\n<ul>\n<li>Select the Pelvis Bone<\/li>\n<li>make sure you are in Pose mode<\/li>\n<li>open the properties window<\/li>\n<li>in the Data properties of the bone find the &#8220;transform Locks&#8221; section<\/li>\n<li>Disable rotation constraints<\/li>\n<li>Reset the rig to its restpose (ALT R, ALT G)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rhcol span5\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image489.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2495\" src=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image489.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"391\" height=\"146\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image489.png 391w, https:\/\/avalab.org\/avastar\/279\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Image489-300x112.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 391px) 100vw, 391px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This should fix your Rig.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Note:<\/span><\/strong> Although the above workaround functions, we strongly recommend to keep the\u00a0 Pelvis and PelvisInv to match exactly as in the Original Avastar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pelvis Head matches PelvisInv tail<\/li>\n<li>Pelvis Tail matches PelvisInv Head<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you break the relative positions of Pelvis and PelvisInv then you get odd behavior as described above. And anything can go wrong.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"symple-toggle state-closed \"><h3 class=\"symple-toggle-trigger \">My Rig bends in wrong direction<\/h3><div class=\"symple-toggle-container symple-clearfix\">\n<p>I have setup my Rig with all constraints fixed. But still the limbs bend in the wrong direction. How can i fix that?<\/p>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"span6 rhcol\">\n<p>When the constraints are set correctly or when there are no constraints set at all, then the IK resolver still can get into trouble when the rest pose angle between 2 bones is setup in the wrong direction.<\/p>\n<p>In the example image the angle between the Elbow bone and its parent bone (shoulder) is set too far to the right. In this case the IK Resolver tries to move the joint backward when the COG bone is moved downward.
